Hi,
For the organic chemical ester called “isoamyl acetate” solution on pH paper of pH 7 what should the color be?  Thank you.

pH 7 look on the correspond paper. A solvent should not show a reaction for pH. The solubility should be bad for this chemical in water.

In the lab, I recorded a color it was either blue or green (from memory).  But the problem is I wrote down the observation info quickly in my note book and I can't read my own fast abbreviated hand writting.

This will depend upon the indicator used in the paper strips.
You may just have enough water present to get a reasonable reading but it will not be accurate.
The pH of isoamyl acetate should be neutral.

On standard pH indicator paper pH7 neutral is a green colour. Blue is basic i.e. pH 12.
