functional groups in salmeterol

Hi,

I'm trying to identify all the functional groups in salmeterol. Can someone tell me if I am correct? A link to the drug is posted here

I identified an ether, benzene (would I call it a phenol group or is benzene fine?), 3 secondary alcohols, and a secondary amine? Is this correct?

Going from left to right you have a
phenyl ring (Benzene ring)
an ether linkage
secondary amino
secondary alcohol
a phenol
and
a primary alcohol.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

Ok thanks for your reply. So you wouldn't consider the second ring to be benzene because the alcohol substituents cause a decrease in hydrogens right? Benzene I believe is C6H5

The benzene molecule is C6H6; the phenyl group is C6H5.

Ok thank you. And the phenOL group is simply a phenyl with a secondary alcohol substituent?

A phenol must have the -OH as a substituent on the aromatic ring.
