Writing formulas from compound names
« on: April 26, 2006, 07:18:49 PM »
Hello! I'd just like some help on my crazy science worksheets. I need to know what the oxidation state means. Is that the same as the "charge"? Thanks, gotta go quick. Hope to get a response :)

I suppose for metals the oxidation state can be thought of as a charge.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
