Arrhenious equation
« on: September 17, 2012, 01:21:48 PM »

I have plotted ln(k) and 1/Kelvin. I need to find the k at 30°C, but I cant extrapolate the graph I have made in excel. Can you tell me how to extrapolate the graph (scatter point) in exel so I can read the ln(k) for 1/(30+273.15) or is there another way doing this?

If you are using Excel 2007 or higher, you can select the graph, click layout under chart tool, and add a trendline and have it show the equation. Then you can use the equation to calculate rate constants at specific temps.
