Well I have an element called NaCl (Sodium Chloride)
From my data, I have found 6.00 grams of it.
And my molar mass that I received was 58.44 g/mol
Which came from (1molNa*22.99/1molNa)+(1molCl*35.45g/1molCl) = 58.44 g/mol
But what I was confused was finding the mole of just one element.
Like for Na, how would I find the mole of just that element from the data I have?
I accidently did the same way for calculating the whole mole of the compound.
Though I thought of something else.
Would this be correct?
mol NaCl = 1molNa/1molNacl = 1 mol Na?
(I used x mol Na = mol NaCl * 1 mol Na / 1 mol NaCl) = 1 mol Na)
Thanks for responding
