Hello all!

I'm interested in chemistry of different inorganic copper compounds. Does anyone have any idea where to find a LOT of information about the subject? And i'm not talking about the absolute basics but a detailed information about different compunds and their properties. Especially about extracting/leaching of copper compounds. Thank you!

Be aware of the toxic nature of copper salts to lower organisms (fish, pets, fungus,..).

I remember a reported incident of someone using a Brass fitting in their fish tank. When the tank got dirty (ammonia from excessive waste), the NH3 attacked the copper forming a small amount of a copper ammonium complex.

Then, ...everything died in the tank...everything!

You will also find, not surprisingly, copper salts in commercial fungicides.
