Have to write mechanism for this reaction.
I am thinking i have to remove Ots but i don't know ith the aid of what.also i have to protonate the OH group which would again be eliminated and then Br can attack there .But how to i attack the Ots place after its removal.

2.the solvolysis of the following compounds in CH3OH shows the rate in the increasing order as C>B>>A,provide explanation by comparing the mechanisms of the solvolysis of these molecules.
I have a doubt what is OBs here.also how does Ch3OH attack these molecules.

These are neighboring group participation reactions. You can draw five-membered intermediates for B and C. Since these are solvolysis reactions, it is difficult to predict what the products are. According to Reusch, "Since the SN1 and E1 reactions proceed via the same carbocation intermediate, the product ratios are difficult to control and both substitution and elimination usually take place." Elimination can give different products. B and C can give discreet products due to the neighboring group, though with a net epimerization for B.

i have one more question.pls help me here
Heating the optically pure compound 1 in CH3CN results in the racemic mixture containing 1 and its enantiomer.Write a mechanism for this racemization process.

It is another neighboring group participation reaction, in this case, use the benzene ring. You have a three membered ring intermediate.
