CaO solublity in H2O

I expect CaO when mixed with H2O reacts like so:

CaO (s) + H2O (l)  ::equil::  Ca(OH)2 (aq)

Why then does Wikipedia mention a solubility in H2O as: 1.19 g/L (25 °C)? When a solid reacts with H2O what does "solubility" mean?

From stoichiometry alone a Litre of H2O ~ 50 mol ~ 2.5 kg of CaO. What am I getting wrong?

Ca(OH)2 itself is weakly soluble, so I suppose what they mean is that after you add more than 1.19 g per L it will still react with water, but the product will be not dissolved.
