Boron doesn't satisfy octet rule in BH3 . Boron and the 3 Hydrogen together have only 6 electrons. Boronhydride exist as B2H6 as a 3 center bonding.
For the bonding you have to take 2s2 2p as a Hybride.

Some B H compounds are said to have divalent hydrogen, if I'm to believe Wiki. Complicated World.
