Hi, I'm trying to develop a wet chemistry method of analysis for copper(II) ions in an alkaline solution.
The compounds I'm working with are wood preservatives, Copper Chrome Arsenate(CCA) and Ammonium Copper Quaternary (ACQ).
My lab has no instrumentation or I would try a colormetric analysis, right now I'm thinking of an EDTA titration, but I'm not sure if the quaternary ammonium ligand will interfere with the chelating ability of the EDTA since it will also have amine - metal bonds. Also having trouble find anything definite with regards to standard methods of analysis for wood preservatives on google, does anyone have any idea of websites or books where I could find information related to analysis?
Any help would be really appreciated!
