I got the idea that it could be NaNO₂:
NaNO₂+NaN₃

Na₂O₂+2N₂
Is this the reaction you had on your mind?

Not quite. If you treat NaNO₂ with NaN₃ in the presence of HCl(aq) you get N₂, NO and NaCl. I'll leave you to balance the equation.

3/2N₂+NO+2NaCl+H₂O
