Calculating pH of a weak solution of HCl
« on: April 24, 2013, 07:13:44 PM »
If I add 2E-7 moles of HCl to 1 liter of water, do I add the 1E-7 molarity of water to the HCl giving a pH of 6.523?

No, as adding H+ shifts water autodissociation slightly to the left.
