I have a question
A cylinder with movable piston contains air at room temperature. Describe and explain what happens when:
a. The temperature is increased and the volume is held constant.
b. The temperature is increased and the external pressure remains constant.

I think
a. Nothing happen
b. T increases the particles move faster and push other particles farther apart. The gas inside will expand and push the piston away.

I'm not sure, can anyone help me? Thanks in advance :)

pV = nRT

1. V,n,R are constant. So if T increase what happens

2. p,n,R = constant. What happens here.
