Quick stochiometry question!!
« on: May 12, 2013, 02:59:41 PM »
So this isn't that hard, but I've found even simple calculations to be a lot more intimidating when they are relevant beyond paper.

I'm doing a reaction, reagent A is 500mg and has a MW of 134.18, so this is 3.73 mmol of reagent A.

I need to add 1.1 equivalents of reagent B, so I need 4.10 mmol of reagent B. Reagent B is a 2.8 molar solution, so that is 2.8 mmol/ml. I take 4.10/2.8 and get 1.46 ML.

Does this all seem correct? I'd really appreciate just knowing if I'm doing this right. I mean, I think I am, but I want to be positive.

Looks OK.

Looks fine, but I'd just be careful how you write these out, 1 ML is not necessarily the same as 1 mL ( https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Metric_prefix&oldid=554432588 )
