Organic chemistry. Draw molecules

Hi guys i need so much help in organic chemistry online homework. I actually tried! but its not right! Somebody help me with this please. Btw the question has the wrong answer on it

Well, to start with, you have more carbon atoms for pent-.  Also, you missing the atoms that would make it an alcohol.  I think the biggest problem may be that you're making the connections wrong, but I don't know how this particular software works.

^^^I think he has given the answer, after dehydration of 2-pentanol, and I think it's the double he has drawn on 2nd and 3rd carbon.

The problem is your attempted double bond in pent-2-ene. What you have drawn is pentane with ethane next to it. You have the right answer, but you don't know how to use the software so you can't effectively communicate with the computer marking your work. Another triumph for online homework...

I do not recognise the software either, but you probably make a double bond by clicking a single bond or dragging a new bond from one existing C to the next. You'd be best off asking classmates/human teacher to show you how to use the software if there are no instructions provided.

Or that second icon from the left seems to have a drop down that may allow you to select a double bond drawing ability.
