How do you calculate the molar mass of potassium acid phthalate?

This is the chemical formula I found for it: HOOC-C6H4COOK but that alone is confusing me because I dont know what to do with the numbers in the formula.
I know Hydrogen and Oxygen are diatomic.

H atomic number is 1
O is 16
C is 12
K is 39
So for every place I see an O and H the atomic number x 2 would give me its molar mass right? Then I need to add each of the element's calculated molar masses together to give me the answer, but I still dont' know what to do with the numbers in the formula. Is it 6 carbons?...6 hydrogens?

Simplify the equation to C8O4H5K
From periodic table.. Approx molar mass of elements are;
C=12,0=16,H=1,K=39.1,

Now just substitute.. easy
(8x12)+(4x16)+(5x1)+(39.1)
=204.1g.mol-1

(im off by about 0.1 because of rounding)
