I've done this question, but I don't think I'm doing it write:
(i) Write a balanced equation for the reaction of H2SO4 and Ca(OH)2
(ii) A student added two solutions together. The student used 22.07 mL of a 0.13 M Ca(OH)2 solution and 25.34 mL of the 0.15 M H2SO4 solution. Calculate the following (showing all calculations).
(a) What was the limiting reagent?
(b) What was the concentration of each species at the end of the reaction i.e. [H2SO4], [Ca(OH)2] and [product]?
(c) If the student extracted the product from the solution how many grams would they obtain?
For part (i) I got CaSO4 + 2H20
For part (ii) I found out how many grams were in 1 mole of each molecule and how many moles were in the given mls of the reactants.
Is this the right method? Also, should the concentration at the end be the same molar value for H2SO4 and the CaSo4 and twice that for H20... or half?
