Hi y'all
I've been trying for some time to calculate for the resulting temperature if I'd mix common water, 20°C , and common anhydrous CaCl2 (which, sure enough, will raise temperature in the beginning, though the formal further wetting of CaCl2*6 H2O will have a cooling effect ), but there's so many variables involved with the different specific heat capacities of the system CaCl2/ xH2O on the one side, and the enthalpies of hydratation belonging to on the other hand, that I thought maybe someone out there has a table with respective mixtures and the temperatures resulting thereof listed, and might be willing to take a look (or maybe give me an advice for literature)
The idea was, to come out at approx 80°C , i.e. have a raise of ΔT=60 K
any help would be greatly appreciated
tnx in advance
Ingo
