I would like to know whether the static electricity effect on action potentials on nerve system or not. For example, when I touch the Van de Graaff generator, my body is filled with positive static charges, will it effect the process on action potentials to transmit signals between nerve systems?

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions
