This is my first post so I guess Hi to all! Just wondering if somebody could check my work on this, please.
HCL
(aq) + Ba(OH)
2(aq) in a neutralisation reaction
H
+ + Cl
- + Ba
2+ + 2OH
- -> BaCl
2 + H
2O : opposites attract
2HCL
(aq) + Ba(OH)
2(aq) -> BaCl
2 + 2H
2O :balanced equation
And then, because Barium Chloride can be ionized in water and swipe an H
+, the arrow becomes bidirectional. so the final equation should look something like this:
2HCL
(aq) + Ba(OH)
2(aq) <-> BaCl
2(aq) + 2H
2O
(liq) ?
Does this look right or am I still missing something here?
