Hello,
I need some information on the employment status of chemists in England.
Let me explain: I worked in a company that it went bankrupt in May, so I lost my job as a quality control lab technician in Italy.
After waiting for a long time to find a new job, even after many discussions with agencies, I decided to move.

At first I think as a destination to move to England, but I can't get an idea on the current situation and also in which city move.

England is the correct destination and in which city?
Where are the major pharmaceutical or chemical companies (production sites)? London, Bristol, Liverpool?
Can anyone help me?

The industrial situation is not good in the UK at the moment. There are a lot of chemists struggling for good jobs and there have been several high-profile industrial site shut-downs in the last few years.

Within Europe, Germany is probably a better option.

Thanks for the list. I mean if there are areas with a higher "concentration" of chemical or pharmaceutical companies.

Even here in Italy this kind of companies are spread everywhere, but they are most in Milan and in the area south of Rome. Anyway thanks for the list, I check it.

You're right. In fact this was my first option.
The problem is I don't speak German as well as English. So I'll definitely have more difficulty to find a job in Deutschland.
