Its just been 3 months after i started doing b.tech -chemical engineering , i really have no idea what it is about .
i used to be a smart student and has a lot of general  knowledge in school and now i am a zero in this field.
i just need guidance about what is chemical engineering.. what are the various fields when it comes to job.
i want to go to gulf ( ONLY MIDDLE-EAST ) and what all i should know..?

A part of chemical engineering is to construct plants for chemical manufacturing, means a lot of math, physics, mechanical engineering, technical chemistry, etc.
I think the oil industry needs a lot of chemical engineering. (Distillation columns, steam cracker, etc.) In Gulf region I think you can find a job.
