Hi, I recently acquired a number of squeezy dispenser pumps for putting in my 5 litre chemical jerry cans.

I have no information on if there are exposed metals inside the pump. There is probably a spring, and maybe a ball bearing, maybe other parts.

My question is, do these pumps keep liquids in contact with metal parts. Would this be a problem for storing: rubbing alcohol, sodium hydroxide, methanol, hydrochloric acid?

Looks like a problem.

Your fluids seem corrosive. Unless you specify a specific metal or plastic regular ones will get eaten away.

Plastic may degrade. Can't say without knowing what kind of plastic.

Metals should be ok.

Try taking alcohol and rubbing on the surface to see if you leach anything off or streak or soften.

Thinking about it logically, even if fluid drains out of that chamber under the pump when the container is half full, it must without doubt be full of fluid when the container is full.

You see that big chamber at the base of the pump, even if it has a drain hole in it, I suspect it is full when the container is full.
