Which of the two is a downhill process - Oxidation or Reduction?

More information is required to answer this question. The answer depends on the conditions.

Generally for molecules left sitting out in the open air, oxidation is favored because there's oxygen gas in the air and the other gas molecules like nitrogen are mostly inert.

Also thinking about it more the question technically can't really be answered...every oxidation must be accompanied by a reduction! Google redox reaction...
