Chemistry lab report table help?
« on: October 12, 2013, 01:47:26 PM »
I did this experiment in chemistry class where we had to measure water using 4 different instruments (burette + 3 different types of pipette ). We have to measure water using each instrument and pour it into a pre-weighed vessel and weigh it using an analytical balance. We had to repeat each weighing 6 times for each of instrument. The purpose of the experiment was to compare the precision and accuracy of the equipments.

I simply cannot draw the table for results!
Can you help me please??

I am suppose to have the mass of water+measuring vessel for the 6 trials for each of the 4 instruments, the mass of the water without the container, mean value, standard deviation, relative and absolute errors! :(

How can I fit all that in the table?

Also, how do I find the absolute error? I know the mass of water under 25c and can compare it to my my individual results, but how can I compare it to all my results? Do I have to use my mean value?
Please help

Well, you really should try to do something.  Consider: you have two variables to chart: the methods and the number of trials.  Try to build a table or look at a table comparing two other varibles, and build one like that.  It really is easier than you think.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
