Melting point of 4,4-diphenylbut-3-en-2-one
« on: February 28, 2006, 10:54:34 AM »
Hi everybody!

I am at home writing a report on the synthesis of 4,4-diphenylbut-3-en-2-one while the snowstorm is raging outside. I can't find the meltingpoint of the product anywhere on the internet (I don't have access to the large chemistry databases), and would really appreciate some help on this.

If anyone have access to a good database and can look this substance up I would be very glad!

The melting point my product had was 80-84 deg. C.

Thanks to my University, I've the opportunity to use a copy of ChemDraw Ultra 9.0.

I don't know the name of the database from which it takes data, but I read that properties are generated By CS ChemProp.
