Would it be possible to prepare a silyl ether by reaction of TMS-Cl (or other silyl variation) with an (Li,K,Na) alkoxide?
I have not seen a preparation like this anywhere in the lit. I only find standard procedures (DMF, imidazole, alcohol) etc...

I don't see why not. The reason you have not found examples is probably because the alcohols are cheaper and often easier to handle.
