Octahedral Symmetry?
« on: February 17, 2006, 11:39:06 AM »
I am trying to find the reducible representation for a complex GeF6 -2 which has an octahedral geometry.

I keep getting numbers that are not multiples of 48 (i.e. 1/48) which should yield whole numbers for the A1g, A1u. A2g, A2u....

Has anyone done a reducible rep. of an Octahedral group? or is there a website that has some information on this.

Really appreciate it if anyone can help.
