ok guys so i have my chemistry exam cming up and this part of chemistry I am finding fairly confusing I have some questions from previous exams i am trying to work out but are driving me crazy could you guys show me how one might work out the following questions with working ut would be much appreciated

3)   Car air bags inflate when sodium azide (NaN3) rapidly decomposes to its component elements:
NaN3→ Na  +  N2
a)   Balance the above equation
b)   How many moles of N2 are produced by the decomposition of 2.5mol NaN3?
c)   How many grams of NaN3 are required to form 15.0g of N¬2 gas?
d)   What volume would 15g of N2 gas produce at 170C and standard pressure?

So the only thing I'm finding easy is balancing the equation which is 2NaN_3→ 2Na + 3N_2 if I'm right ?

Yes first answer correct. Now you can also solve the others.  2 mol Azide gave 3 mole nitrogen so how many mole nitrogen you obtain, if you use 2.5 mol azide. The others use molar mass and ideal gas equation.

So do I need to work out what 2.5 makes so is it a simple case of using ratio so by my workings out I would just add 0.75 to the 3 mols so 2.5 would make 3.75

You may use this online tool to check your answer:
http://www.thermobook.net/stoichiometry/
I did a quick run by typing in NaN3 = Na + N2 and got the following results:
A)   Balanced equation: 2NaN3 = 2Na + 3N2
B)   3.75 mole of N2
C)   23.20689(gram)
