Chemical to rapidly dissolve/deteriorate epoxy
« on: December 25, 2013, 03:46:05 PM »
Hi,

I'm new to this forum.

What chemical can rapidly and efficiently break down (for instance make brittle), dissolve or deteriorate epoxy? The chemical needs to be at room temperature and cannot be heated. The remaining compounds after reaction are of no importance. The thickness of the epoxy to be broken down is approx 2 mm.

Thanks in advance,

Lucas

You can try searching on this forum for previous attention to this topic.  Briefly, epoxide resin is very hard to attack chemically.  Maybe even impossible.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
