As Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring controls are established and maintained to satisfy the adopted Quality system as well as monitoring compliance to Quality systems to ensure quality standards are maintained and leading projects and identifying initiatives to continually improve finished product quality.

Other key duties will include but not be limited to:

• Establishment of required quality, operational and site standard operating procedures including control of updates

• Responsible for document control and supplier control (in conjunction with Purchasing and Supply Chain Director)

• Planning and delivery of internal audits and the management of external audits

• Management of quality and environmental systems

• Quality control of manufactured products and raw materials

• To promote internal quality standards, identify quality gaps and initiate and lead quality projects where required

• Investigation and response to customer complaints

• To provide Quality Assurance support across the site, auditing manufacturing processes and inspecting packaged products and packaging components against both Quality and Environmental standards

• To work with sales and technical in the delivery of new products and existing product development

Who we're looking for

The successful candidate for the Quality Manager role will be degree educated ideally within a chemistry field and be able to impress upon the client a real desire for continuous improvement.

Other pre-requisites include:

• Successful track record with knowledge of both QC and QA functions
• Previous experience working within Chemical, Pharmaceutical or the FMCG sector
• Successful examples of leading continuous improvement projects and ideally with experience providing process support
• Strong data analysis skills are essential
• Past record of improving laboratory systems as well as maintaining ISO 9001 & 14001 systems
