How to grind NaOH into fine powder?

Is there is a safe way to NaOH pellets into fine powder?

You can buy it as a powder or flakes.
Otherwise you will need a moisture free inert atmosphere.
Development Chemists do it on Scale, Research Chemists just do it!

Assuming you don't need a lot, I'd get one of those hand-held coffee grinders and do your grinding in a glove box.  Or, just use a mortar and pestle in a glove box.

Have you ever seen NaOH pellets? Sounds like you have not.

They are so hygroscopic they will clump back before you'll have the time to say "oops, I am wrong".

Thats why I said to do it in a glove box.  In a moisture-free atmosphere, you will not get the clumping.  I've done before.
