I am trying to figure out the structure for this substance, I also have an IR but it doesn't tell much.
So I've done the calculation and there are no pi bonds in this substance. I've done the integrations and the numbers on the sticky notes are what I've gotten, the hydrogens from each source.
What's throwing me off in terms of figuring out the structure is what I've labelled #2. It has 9 peaks almost but the machine labelled only 4, and it has 4 hydrogens as coming from it which I assumed to mean 2 CH2's.
My best guess as to the structure is NH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH3. Which would fit for individual parts but is completely wrong, as the middle CH2 would get a 5 split peak instead of a singlet.
I could really use some help, I'm at my wit's end
