Cyclohexanol Lab Question Help Theoretical Yield
« on: February 17, 2014, 04:11:25 PM »
I have no idea how to start this problem since it is already in mol's not sure what to convert or multiple please help, it's the last question in my set of questions for the pre-lab. Please explain the steps to do this type of question please.

If 0.042 mol of cyclohexanol reacts with 0.011 mol of 85% phosphoric acid, the theoretical yield of cyclohexene is __ mol.

Thank You so much!

Conservation of matter.

Think about it.
If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the precipitate

Start with a reaction equation, find limiting reagent.
