Density of solution
« on: April 01, 2014, 12:02:51 PM »
Hi all,

How can i measure the density of solution Nacl 4% solution after heating it up?

I used 300 ml of water and 12 gm of Nacl. but when i mixed them at 85 degrees i found that the volume of the mixture reduced to 275 ml because of water vapor?

So how can i measure the density of this solution after the reduction of the solution volume because of vapor?

Is it right to measure the density from density= mass/volume

Thanks alot

How long have you waited? Avporating 25 grams of water takes time.

I would look for density tables, brine density was measured many times before.
