Hi!

I´ve a question...copper sulfide, CuS..is more soluble in acidic environment, right? When I add N2-gas (bubbles), then H2S degasses, making the solution less acidic, so the solubility of CuS decreases.
Is this the correct conclusion?

I don't understand what you mean here, but I may also simply not know.  Let me try, you mean to say the CuS is more soluble in acid -- do you mean in acid aqueous solution.  Or does H2S form an aqueous complex with CuS -- that I didn't know.  So try to be more clear in that regard.

Again, do you mean its a solution of CuS in H2S, and you bubble out the H2S?  Then yes.  Unless you mean the N2 removes the sulfur from CuS, precipitating ... what copper metal or copper oxide?  Because that definitely won't happen.

Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
