Just wondering if anyone could help with this:

How can you tell which elements are more metallic or more nonmetallic?

For example, out of these elements: oxygen, iron, potassium & neon, which would be the most metallic and why?

Silicon, fluorine, nitrogen & helium, which of these is most nonmetallic?
