Hello everyone. I have a trouble with my chemistry exercise which i have to do until tomorrow. I have an equation - 4HCl(g) +O2(g) <--> 2Cl2(g) +2H2O(g). I have to find out (calculate) which one (chlorine or oxygen) is the strongest oxidant:
1) in normal temperature (I found that it is 298K)
2) in 1000K temperature
I have to use termodinamic potential table to calculate this. And i also have to calculate the temperature when chlorine or oxygen both are equal as oxidants. I have stuck with this far too long and don't really know where to begin. Tried to look up the internet and find at least something that is similar to this but didn't succeed. So i hope someone here will take a look at this and help me.
