Redox Stoich/Farraday problem
« on: June 09, 2014, 07:10:51 PM »
An electrolytic cell is constructed with carbon electrodes and an aqueous gallium nitrate electrolyte. For how long would a current of 14.0 A have to be passed through the cell in order to plate out 146 g of pure gallium metal?

Can you write down any chemical reactions for this problem?
How does the mole of electrons relate to F?
How is time related to current?

Try, only by making mistakes you will learn something.
