Hi All,
I hope I am not breaking any rules with my post. My question is purely scientific. What mechanism of the shake and bake method to synthesize methamphetamine from pseudoephedrine?  I could not find any resource on the internet to explain the mechanism.

I'm not surprised that you can't find an easy online resource for this particular academic question.  Your curiosity notwithstanding, its just not something people talk about.  Its not legal, or safe, and it presents the answerer with a legal liability if you're ever involved in anything illegal.  And IMHO, its just plain tedious -- take a university level Organic Chemistry course, and the mechanism will be taught to you.  You won't know it at first, because the example won't be explicit, but you'll figure it out.  And that's how you learn.  And that's what we do here.
