Hi, can you point me some articles comparing cross coupling reactions? I was looking into "Strategic aplications of named reactions in organic synthesis" by L.Kurty and B.Czako but the description there seems to be always very similar.

Or to be more specific: Is it possible to do cross coupling reaction on compound like this

when R are leaving groups and they are to be echchanged for alkyl chains (or the alkyl chains having suitable leaving groups and the benzene ring being nucleophile). I did some quick search but I only found similar reaction when the leaving groups were in meta position. Did anyone do something like this?
