Hi, today at my synthesis class we were disccusing the synthesis of diclofenac


and one the reactions is shown bellow, its preparation of diarylamine.

My teacher called it Chapman reaction, however when I search for this name, the only results i get are about atmospheric chemistry.
Does anyone know name of this reaction?

Im sorry to necro this thread but do you have any more informations regarding this reaction? I cant find anything and I cant acces this article.
Does it work only for aromatic compounds (it seems so from the abstract) or is it possible to use for alifatic amines too?

Ive looked into Laslo&Kurti´s named reactions book but no hit there.
It seems that its not very general or ofte used reaction
