How News Are Perceived..
« on: March 16, 2006, 08:54:41 AM »
A man is taking a walk in Central park in New York. Suddenly he sees a little girl being attacked by a pit bull dog .. He runs over and starts >fighting with the dog. He succeeds in killing the dog and saving the girl's life. A policeman who was watching the scene walks over and says: "You are >a hero, tomorrow you can read it in all the newspapers: "Brave New Yorker >saves the life of little girl "The man says: - "But I am not a New Yorker!" "Oh then it will say? in newspapers in the morning: 'Brave American saves life of little girl'" the policeman answers. "But I am not an American!" - says the man. "Oh, what are you then?" The man says: - "I am a Pakistani!"

The next day>the newspapers says: "Islamic extremist kills innocent American dog."
"Say you're in a [chemical] plant and there's a snake on the floor. What are you going to do? Call a consultant? Get a meeting together to talk about which color is the snake? Employees should do one thing: walk over there and you step on the friggin snake." - Jean-Pierre Garnier, CEO of Glaxosmithkline, June 2006

Ya know the sad thing is that would probably be the news headline if that happened here in America.
Honor is what you know of yourself. Reputation is what others think they know about you. Live by honor and let your reputation lie where it may. And outlive the bastards.

One day I will rule the world with my army of a mole of moles!
