Ways to categorize microreactors?
« on: November 14, 2014, 03:02:00 PM »
I'm searching a way to divide microreactors in some categories... In literature, they are always treated as an entity. Not as in macroscopic reactors, which are relatively easy to classify. Do you have any idea about this?  :)

Possible ways to classify:

1) packed bed, 2) wall coated catalyst (not enough distinctive way!)

1) channels on plates (including heat exchanger/plate reactor, falling film microreactor, microbubble colum, even tho even these overlap...) 2) tubular 3) membrane/mesh microreactors...
