I-CH2COOH + KOH/H3O+/t°
« on: December 30, 2014, 04:09:48 PM »
This is part of a chain reaction.
Ethanenitrile + 2H2O/H3:rarrow: A + I2/P (1:1)/t°  :rarrow: B + KOH,t° + H3:rarrow: C + t°  :rarrow: D

So far I got A is CH3COOH
B is I-CH2COOH
C is where I am unsure. C may be CH2OHCOOH?
