Amount of energy removed
« on: April 12, 2015, 01:16:40 AM »
How to calculate the amount of energy removed by the human body by the evaporation of  10,0 g of water?
Obs: ΔH vaporization (H2O) =  + 10,5 kcal.mol^-1

18g=1mol of H2O

10,5 kcal --- 18g
x -------------10 g
x= 5,83 kcal

5,83 kcal = 24392.72 J

I'm not sure if my calculations are correct.

Looks OK. Just remember to not report so many digits when the data contains only 3.
