Challenging gas production problem
« on: April 21, 2015, 10:20:25 AM »
Hello,

I am currently working on a university project which involves a reaction creating a vast amount of CO2 in a matter of seconds(3L/s to be precise).
This gas needs to be vented from a sealed package by anything which is capable of venting the gas WITHOUT letting through any fluids. We are unable to find such a fabric..
Specific requirements on the fabric or other gas venting substance:
- Semi permeable (Fluids stay inside the package while the gas has the freedom to escape
- Durable
- Within the price range of 10$/m2

Thank you for your help.

Wow that is a difficult one. You should be creative: why not a graphene membrane?

I think that graphene can be impermeable or not depending on the fabrication process.
