Hello,

I need help regarding this problem.

A slurry consisting of 250kg of solid is to be filtered and dried. The liquid in the slurry is an alcohol. Which type of filtration system would be the most effective one (parameters to be considered are time and area occupied)? I need to recover the alcohol too.

Currently agitated nustche filter dryer is being used for this process but it consumes a lot of time (4-6hrs for filtration and 8-10 hrs of drying at 373K).
