ICWMT is an important international platform for specialists and officials to discuss
scientific problems, exchange experiences, and look for innovative solutions.Initiated by
Basel Convention Regional Centre for Asia and the Pacific, ICWMT has been ongoing for 9
years since its inception in 2005. On a yearly basis, ICWMT is known to attract a great
number of participants from governments, research institutions, universities and industries.
In fact, there were more than 500 delegates from 32 countries participating in ICWMT9.
The ICWMT10 will be held at Mianyang, Sichuan Province on October 28-30, 2015.
The theme of ICWMT10 is “Towards Environmental Quality Improvement”. Specialized
experts and government officials will be invited to give keynote speeches on the pressing
issues of solid waste; this will in turn provide the opportunity to share and exchange ideas
among participants. In addition, free technical field trips to e-waste and hazardous waste
treatment plants will be arranged.

Call for Papers
Welcome papers with the following topics:
 WEEE management policy and technology
 Hazardous waste management and sound disposal
 POPs waste management and disposal
 Mercury waste management and sound disposal
 Sludge management and utilization
 Contaminated sites environmental regulation and governance
 Circular economy and urban mining
 Industrial solid waste comprehensive utilization and disposal
 Household waste recycling and treatment
 Biomass comprehensive utilization
 End-of-life vehicle recycling
 Polymer waste utilization and pollution control
 Regional and sub-regional chemicals management
 Energy production from waste materials
 Social and environmental impact on waste
 Nuclear waste and environmental safety
 Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
 Landfill leachate disposal
 Construction and demolition (CD) waste disposal
Paper Requirements
Please submit the abstract and full-text paper on http://2015.icwmt.org with the above
topics.
All the accepted papers will be formally published by ELSEVIER and submitted for
EI (Engineering Index) and CPCI (ISTP) index. The outstanding papers will be awarded and published in a special issue of SCI journal after peer review.
Enterprises Exhibition & Poster Time
The session will be that of great variety and interactivity which provides an opportunity
among authors, experts and enterprises to exchange information and technology. The
outstanding papers to be awarded will be based on the feedback of posters.
Technical Field Trip
Free technical field trip will be arranged in the afternoon of 27th October.
Language
English will be the main language of the ICWMT 10 but simultaneous interpretation in
English and Chinese will also be offered at the plenary session.
