sulphuric acid containing borate

Hello,
I've found a protocol for the carbazole method of Rosa et al. and there is a problem.
It was translated in english from another language and I don't understand this part
"2 ml of sulphuric acid containing borate (0.025 mM)"
What does BORATE mean here?

Borate is the anion of boric acid. I think in this environment of sulfuric acid i would add the amount of 0.025 mM of H3BO3. What means I would prepare a ready for use solution. Its not mentioned the concentration of the sulfuric acid.
